Pam Munter's Site

What's New

THANK YOU

A half dozen films, two CDs, a dozen commercials and infomercials, live jazz/cabaret shows all over the country, countless radio and television interviews - it has been a great ride.

Thanks to all of you for your kind and persistent support over these years. And thanks to the people at Excellence in Media who have given us another Angel Award for "Best Stage Performanace" for that last show in New York, "Hooked on Hollywood." It was an upbeat way to end the cabaret career

We'll continue to maintain this site for those who want to stay in touch.

In keeping with the musical theme, Pam has formed a Dixieland band (see the section on The Bees' Knees) and has been asked to be the "girl singer" with the Debonaires, a big band in Palm Desert, California. She is also singing regularly with another jazz group, an octet.

In a different vein, Pam first began writing for publication when she put together a newspaper at the age of nine. She has worked as a film and television critic, written hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles and most recently wrote her own cabaret acts. When she was a clinical psychologist, she published a monthly newsletter for her clients. She is also the author of an autobiography published in 1986, ALMOST FAMOUS. Writing has always been a part of her life.

So it's not surprising that she is writing about show biz again, this time for both Classic Images and Films of the Golden Age magazines. Pam has completed nearly 20 articles exploring such diverse character actors as Joan Blondell, Eve Arden, James Whitmore and Mary Wickes. Her piece on Celeste Holm appears in the Winter issue of FGA. Click on the icon for WHEN TEENS WERE KEEN for more info on the most recent book project. In addition, her chapter on Jack Benny's Vaudeville career is included in a new anthology about the legendary comedian. The book is entitled WELL! REFLECTIONS ON THE LIFE AND CAREER OF JACK BENNY and is edited by Michael Leannah
